Volunteers are the Heart of any race that is put on.

We are needing volunteers to help with Fired Up for

Kids Fun Run.

We would appreciate you taking the time to help us

with our first annual fun run event!

Volunteer FAQs

1. Who can volunteer?

Anyone can volunteer, as long you are able to stand and be outside for up to 2 hours at a time. You do not have to have any experience with sports or volunteering.

2. How do I volunteer?

3. When will I find our what my volunteer job is?

Approximately 7-10 days prior to the event volunteers will receive a preliminary volunteer schedule.

4. Can I work with a friend?

Yes, most definitely! The best volunteers are happy volunteers! When contacting The Legacy Run please note in your request that you would like to be paired up with a friend or specific group.

5. Can I choose my task?

Yes...kind of. We will try our best to satisfy all requests but in some circumstances it is not possible. We do encourage volunteers to speak up if they have experience or certain talents that they think would be of benefit!

Volunteer Jobs:

Pre-Event volunteer jobs include:
*Event promotion
*Race-site set-up
*preparing pick-up packets for racers
*Donation Procurement
*Prize/Medal Procurement

Race Day Jobs include:
*Registration
*Aid Station: Handing out water, stocking aid stations, etc...
*Finish Line Crew: Collect athlete numbers, athlete catcher, timer assistant, etc.
*Course Traffic: Direct athletes along the course
*Race Set-up: Set out cones, tables, etc.
*Race Tear Down: Pick up cones, etc.
*Clean up crew: ensuring that we leave the race site better then we found it!
